Imagine Pocket Diaper & Cover Review & Giveaway

***WINNER ANNOUNCED 1/5/12****

I really cannot get enough of these diapers. Since they are currently being offered for a limited time at an introductory price through Nicki's Diapers (and with FREE SHIPPING!), I thought I would choose to review the Imagine brand as my first official diaper GIVEAWAY. Whoo hoo!

When I first saw Nicki's Diapers exclusively selling an "inexpensive" option for pockets and covers I was very hesitant. I own some of the top brands out there - and even with top brands I've had elastic stretch out, snaps no longer snap, micro-fiber inserts unravel, etc. So how could a diaper that cost $7-10 less than my favorite brands really compare??

Well, I'm here to tell you they do! One of my concerns with cloth diapers is maximum sizing. I'm 6ft tall, my babies are by no means average. My son is currently 19 months, 30 lbs, and solid like a football player. We are already on the top of row of snaps on the BumGenious 4.0, and completely maxed on the elastic for FuzziBunz and Charlie Bananas. Both the Imagine pocket diaper and cover are rated from 5-35+lbs, as with my other brands. HOWEVER, the Imagine brand actually runs bigger than my BG's (my largest fitting diaper), which gives this mom some breathing room! The diaper covers seem even MORE roomier (is that possible?), because we are only on the second row of snaps.

Another concern was how durable a low-priced pocket diaper and cover could actually be. The Imagine pocket diaper fleece is amazingly soft - I was kind of shocked. They are softer than ALL my other diapers, and even after 8+ washes, no pilling! The PUL does not have that crinkly, flimsy feel either. The pockets do come with a large 4 layer micro-fiber insert than can be snapped down for smaller sizes. We have had to switch over to pre-folds as inserts because of my son's wetness output, but I find that two of the Imagine inserts in one pocket holds up just as well if not better than a pre-fold.

Catching my son for a photo op is a struggle. Here he is in a blue Imagine pocket with double MF inserts in it. I  personally don't find it bulky at all!
The diaper cover has double gussets, but I find double gussets on a cover just a selling feature - a natural gusset is created between the pre-fold and leg casing anyway - a double gusset just seems overkill on a cover. I do wish BOTH the pocket and cover had hip snaps to prevent wing droop, however, in the same breath, I get annoyed with the hip snaps on my other pocket diapers because they rub on my son's hips - so the point is null and void. LOL

The pocket has a large opening in back, and because it's a roomy pocket, it's VERY easy to stuff. They dry just as quickly as my other pockets on the laundry line.

I think the best thing about this diaper is the price. Currently, Nicki's Diapers is offering the Imagine brand at an amazing introductory price WITH FREE shipping AND you earn POINTS. The pocket is $9.95 (normally $13.95) and includes a 4 layer MF insert. The cover is $7.95 (normally $9.95).  With FREE SHIPPING how can you not just try one at that price?! Since I am expecting #3 in April I have been slowly adding to my stash of Imagine by placing an order every week on pay day.

BUY IT
Even if you don't win this giveaway, I HIGHLY suggest placing an order just to try one if not both. Colors and quantities are limited and some are already sold out.

Imagine Diapers are sold exclusively at Nicki's Diapers.

I found them to be a S*** ton of work and not worth it (well except for with you of course lol!) but hopefully with as efficient as you are this won't be the case :) Already you have found a very efficient entry system definitely liking that :)So in answer to your question many many products but I suppose the best bottoms because they are made in the USA and you know how I am about that :)

  33. I have their diaper covers and Love the double gussets!! The gussets in the Imagine and some of my other brands catch any fly away poo that my prefolds don't catch. I've had a leak or 2 from my Flip covers because they don't have the dbl gussets.

I have been wanting to try their pocket diapers though. I keep going on and eyeing them up but have yet to get the guts to just order one to try them out. Very tempting deal.
